Established in 1963 as one of the original helicopter companies in the state of Montana,
Central began operations with a single, piston-powered Bell 47G3B1. From this humble venture, we have grown and expanded to a fleet of “State of the Art”, turbine-powered helicopters. Our continued strong commitment to safety with decades of experience, remain the strength and backbone of our company today; and provide the framework for all Part 135 Charter and Part 133 External Load flights.
Our Montana roots run deep and for years we have been proud to assist the highly skilled professionals of the Gallatin County Search and Rescue team. When tough assignments in extreme conditions demand experience and precision, Central Copters is trusted to answer the call.

Central Copters, Inc. is an FAA approved Air Carrier (FAR Part 135) and a Certified External Load Operator (FAR Part 133). Pilots, Aircraft Mechanics, Helicopters and Fuel Service Vehicles are “Carded” or Inspected annually by the U.S. Forest Service and Department of the Interior.
